Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) oversees all store operations, including safety, pet parent experiences, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards via monthly walks, manage inventory, review cameras for safety, and handle openings/closings.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, problem-solving, compliance enforcement, and adaptability to dynamic environments. Flexible scheduling is essential.
