Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and business results in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, deliver reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, conduct Core and Services Walks, and oversee inventory and events.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and maintain compliance with policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service and operations, and a passion for pets. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, scheduling, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced setting.
