Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient daily business execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service; conduct monthly walks; maintain standards, inventory, and safety; partner on events and adoption groups.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; review cameras for coaching; handle sick pets and store procedures.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Proficiency in operations, compliance, and fostering engagement is essential. Flexible scheduling is required.
