Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient daily execution in our Greenbelt location.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture with recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; prioritize safety and compliance; handle openings/closings.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; maintain inventory; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoption initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet care knowledge, and skills in sales driving, team motivation, and operational efficiency. Must thrive in dynamic settings with flexible availability.
