Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, deliver exceptional service, and execute strategies to achieve business goals while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for associates, pets, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance and coaching.
- Business Management: Drive profitability, analyze performance, execute corporate strategies, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume settings, and a passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, customer obsession, financial acumen, and adaptability to flexible schedules including weekends.
