Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and foster an exceptional environment while ensuring compliance with policies and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, review cameras for compliance, and handle openings/closings.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in sales driving, team motivation, and operational efficiency. Must thrive in dynamic environments with flexible scheduling.
