Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion pet parent service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and fostering an open-door culture with associate engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety, deliver outstanding pet parent service, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance and coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, root cause issues, and communicate objectives to drive results.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include strong leadership, financial acumen, conflict resolution, and a passion for pets. Flexibility for varied schedules and commitment to safety and compliance are essential.
