Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; build open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure safe, healthy pets; maintain standards via monthly walks; manage inventory and events; prioritize safety and compliance.
- Operational Excellence: Review cameras for safety; respond to pet health issues; communicate objectives; collaborate with leadership team for efficient outcomes.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven leaders with retail management experience, strong team-building skills, financial savvy, and passion for pets. Excel in customer service, conflict resolution, and process improvement. Must thrive in dynamic environments, delegate effectively, and inspire high performance.
