Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct Core and Services Walks, and oversee inventory compliance.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on in-store events and community initiatives like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in operations and customer service, and financial acumen. Pet care passion, conflict resolution, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential. You'll excel at delegating, empowering teams, and driving results.
