Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution to meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and foster engagement through recognition and open-door policies.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead customer service, resolve concerns, conduct safety walks, and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Analyze performance metrics, execute strategies for profitability, communicate objectives, and partner on events and community initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership to build high-performing teams, customer-centric mindset, financial acumen, and passion for pets.
