Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial outcomes, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; address grievances and build open-door culture.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core & Services Walks and camera reviews for compliance.
• Operations & Financials: Oversee inventory, opening/closing procedures, events, and community partnerships; communicate objectives and adapt to changing priorities.

Experience & Skills

Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, and pet industry knowledge. Must excel in delegation, financial analysis, safety protocols, and fostering engagement. Halifax location offers dynamic pet retail environment.
