Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive strategies for exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; foster open-door culture, deliver reviews, and boost engagement through recognition.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, and collaborate on events with adoption partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial accountability. Passion for pets, strong communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience with pet retail is a plus.

- Manage inventory, operations, and financial performance to meet targets
