Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store operations, including people safety, pet parent experiences, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive targeted results, and foster an environment of empowerment and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; address grievances and celebrate achievements.
• Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; review cameras for compliance; prioritize safety and inventory levels.
• Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoptions; handle store opening/closing.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, expertise in customer service, operational efficiency, and financial oversight.
