Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; build an open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning; recognize achievements and resolve grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle escalated concerns; conduct monthly walks; maintain inventory and compliance; review cameras for safety.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoption initiatives; oversee opening/closing procedures.
