Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive results, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, review, and develop associates; build open-door culture; manage scheduling, training, and succession planning; recognize achievements and resolve grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle concerns; lead events and compliance walks; maintain inventory and standards; review cameras for safety.
- Business Management: Achieve profitability and strategic goals; analyze performance; communicate objectives; optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
