Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure safety for people, pets, and customers; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; manage inventory and events.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; prioritize safe, compliant operations.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume environments, and passion for pet care. Key skills include team motivation, financial acumen, customer obsession, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced retail setting.
