Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop teams; create schedules; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; address grievances and boost engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding customer service; conduct safety walks; manage inventory; review cameras for compliance; partner on events and adoptions.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; maintain standards and adapt to changes.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial accountability. Key skills include strategic thinking, conflict resolution, inventory control, and a passion for pets. Flexible availability required.

- Ensure exceptional pet parent service and resolve escalated concerns
- Manage inventory, conduct safety walks, and maintain compliance with policies
- Analyze business metrics, execute corporate strategies, and drive profitability
- Foster open-door culture and respond to associate feedback
- Coordinate store events, adoption partnerships, and community engagement
- Monitor store cameras, address risks, and ensure pet health and safety
- Deliver associate reviews and manage labor scheduling
