Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, deliver exceptional service, and execute strategies to achieve business goals while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for associates, pets, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; conduct reviews; foster open communication and engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct compliance walks, and manage inventory.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, drive profitability, execute corporate strategies, monitor safety via cameras, and partner on community events.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, proficiency in financial oversight and operations, and a passion for pets.
