Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; oversee events and compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; maintain inventory; communicate objectives to drive results.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in sales growth, team motivation, and operational efficiency. Must thrive in dynamic environments with flexible availability.
