Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; handle escalations, conduct audits, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance metrics, execute corporate strategies, and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, pet safety knowledge, and the ability to inspire teams in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability for days, nights, and weekends required.
