Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key metrics, champion pet-focused service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and associate engagement to build high-performing teams.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and prioritize a safe, welcoming environment.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in team development and customer service, pet industry knowledge, financial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
