Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; deliver reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage customer interactions, events, compliance, inventory, and safety protocols including vet transports.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and optimize processes.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financials. Passion for pets, strong communication, delegation, and adaptability required. Experience with pet retail and community partnerships a plus.

- Lead recruiting, hiring, coaching, and performance reviews for associates
- Ensure exceptional pet parent service and compliance with policies
- Manage inventory, scheduling, and business objectives
- Conduct safety walks, camera reviews, and respond to pet health issues
- Foster company culture through engagement, recognition, and development
