Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards via monthly walks, manage inventory, review cameras for safety, and handle sick pets.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze metrics, communicate objectives, and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring proven retail leadership, strong people management, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge.
