Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure pet safety; maintain store standards; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; manage openings/closings.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze metrics; optimize inventory; partner on community events.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include operational execution, customer service, HR management, and data-driven decision-making. Experience in pet retail preferred.
