Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle escalations; lead events and compliance walks; manage inventory and camera reviews for safety.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; partner on community initiatives like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, expertise in team motivation, customer service, and operations. Pet industry experience is a plus. Key skills include strategic thinking, delegation, conflict resolution, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Must thrive in dynamic settings with flexible scheduling.
