Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and achieving business goals in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and foster an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer interactions, resolve concerns, and maintain a positive in-store environment through policy compliance and monthly walks.
- Business Management: Drive profitability by executing strategies, analyzing performance, managing inventory, and reviewing security footage for coaching.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, strong leadership in team building and sales, pet industry knowledge, and skills in operations, financial oversight, and customer service. Must thrive in fast-paced settings with flexible availability.
