Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on community events.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, scheduling, and a passion for pets. Experience with P&L, inventory tools, and safety protocols is essential.
