Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure safety for pets, associates, and customers; conduct compliance walks; manage inventory and events; review cameras for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance metrics; communicate objectives; adapt to changing priorities.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include team building, conflict resolution, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. Experience in pet retail is a plus.
