Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; oversee inventory and compliance; review cameras for accountability.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; lead events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling is essential.
