Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion superior service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver exceptional customer service; conduct monthly walks; maintain compliance; manage inventory and events; review cameras for safety.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in P&L management, team motivation, and customer-centric operations. Flexibility for varied shifts is essential.
