Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision by delivering targeted results, fostering team success, and ensuring a positive environment for associates, pets, and customers in our Kansas City location.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on community events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of retail management experience, proven leadership in team building and sales growth, strong customer service skills, and familiarity with pet care.
