Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key metrics, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and address feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; oversee events and compliance.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; optimize inventory and operations; communicate objectives to team leaders.
Experience & Skills
Seeking dynamic leaders with 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and P&L management. Key skills include strategic delegation, problem-solving, pet safety knowledge, and adaptability to a fast-paced retail setting. Passion for pets and community engagement is a plus.
