Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks; manage inventory and compliance; review cameras for safety.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; cascade objectives; partner on events and adoptions; optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Must thrive in dynamic environments, delegate effectively, and adapt to changing priorities. Flexible scheduling required.
