Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion superior service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; oversee opening/closing procedures.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; optimize inventory; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial accountability. Pet industry knowledge is a plus. Must excel in delegation, problem-solving, compliance, and creating positive cultures.
