Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; maintain compliance with policies; oversee opening/closing procedures.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; optimize inventory; communicate objectives; partner on events and community initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership to build high-performing teams, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets.
