Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews and recognition; address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure safety for people and pets; conduct compliance walks; manage inventory and events.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability; monitor cameras for safety; respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include team building, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability required.
