Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture with recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on in-store events and adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and customer-centric operations. Flexibility for varied shifts is essential.
