Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and build an exceptional store environment while ensuring compliance and team empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage scheduling, reviews, and engagement via open-door culture and Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Deliver outstanding pet parent service in-store, online, and via phone; prioritize safety for pets, associates, and customers; conduct Core and Services Walks.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze performance, manage inventory, review cameras for accountability, and handle pet health emergencies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, proven leadership in team building and sales growth, pet care knowledge, and skills in operations, financial oversight, and conflict resolution. Flexibility for varied shifts and a passion for pets are essential.
