Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve results, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build engagement through recognition and open communication.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle escalations; lead events and compliance walks; maintain inventory and standards.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability by analyzing metrics, executing strategies, reviewing cameras for safety, and prioritizing in-stock availability.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in retail management, proven leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and process improvement. Flexibility for varied shifts is essential.
