Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, deliver reviews, and foster engagement through open-door culture and feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; oversee inventory and compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoption initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
