Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store operations, including people safety, pet parent experiences, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety/health, maintain standards via monthly walks and camera reviews, manage inventory, and prioritize safe environments.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on in-store/community events.
Experience & Skills
