Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, training, and associate engagement to build high-performing teams.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and review security for risk mitigation.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies, analyze financials, optimize processes, and collaborate on events to deliver profitability and growth.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include team development, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and data-driven decision-making. Flexible availability is essential.

- Manage opening/closing procedures and pet welfare
