Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning. Foster an open-door culture, address grievances, and celebrate team achievements.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers. Manage pet parent interactions, conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, and lead events with adoption partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership, customer focus, and pet passion. Key skills include team motivation, financial acumen, compliance enforcement, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Flexible scheduling is essential.
