Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) oversees all store operations, including safety, pet parent experience, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver exceptional service in-store, online, and by phone; conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability, communicate objectives, and partner on events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership, customer service passion, financial acumen, and pet care knowledge. Key skills include team building, operational efficiency, problem-solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling.
