Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards through walks and audits, manage inventory, and prioritize a safe environment.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies, analyze performance metrics, achieve profitability goals, and collaborate on events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, financial acumen, and a genuine love for pets. Key skills include operational execution, conflict resolution, inventory control, and adaptability to flexible schedules.

- Ensure exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve escalated concerns
- Manage inventory, conduct safety walks, and maintain compliance with policies
- Analyze business metrics, execute corporate strategies, and achieve profitability goals
- Collaborate on in-store events and community partnerships
- Monitor store cameras, address risks, and ensure pet health and safety
- Create schedules, facilitate training, and conduct associate reviews
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and services
