Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve results, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and foster open-door culture with feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety, deliver exceptional service, resolve concerns, maintain standards via monthly walks, manage inventory, and prioritize safety.
- Operations & Finance: Collaborate on events, communicate objectives, review cameras for coaching, and respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with retail management experience, strong team-building skills, customer focus, operational expertise, and passion for pets. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, financial acumen, and compliance knowledge. Experience in pet retail is a plus.
