Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion pet parent service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, manage inventory, and prioritize safe environments.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance data, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, compliance adherence, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments.

- Partner on community events and maintain policy compliance
