Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze metrics, communicate objectives, and partner on community events.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, customer service, operational efficiency, and HR proficiency. Experience in pet retail is a plus.
