Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service; maintain standards via monthly walks; manage inventory and events; prioritize safety through camera reviews and protocols.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; adapt to changing environments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, pet care knowledge, and the ability to thrive in dynamic settings with flexible hours.

- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience (experience)
