Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, review security footage, and prioritize safe environments.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance data, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, proficiency in P&L management, and a passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, customer obsession, operational efficiency, and adaptability to dynamic retail demands.
